On July 4, 2026, the United States of America marks 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

As we remember this historic day, this prayer is a call to thank God for the freedom we still have, to ask Him to awaken our hearts, and to seek His wisdom for our country.

America is not perfect, but God is still greater than every fear, every division, every battle, and every darkness we face. Our hope is not in politics, leaders, systems, or circumstances. Our hope is in the Lord.

May this prayer remind us to walk in truth, live with a sound mind, love with courage, and shine the light of Christ wherever we go.

Lord, wake up our hearts again.

Give our nation wisdom where there is division, truth where there are lies, and light where there is darkness.

Start with us.

PRAYER:

Lord,

We lift up our country to You.

Thank You for the freedom we still have,

and forgive us for the times

we have taken it for granted.

Wake up our hearts again.

Help us turn away from fear,

anger, pride, and confusion,

and turn back to You.

Give our nation wisdom

where there is division,

truth

where there are lies,

and light

where there is darkness.

Start with us, Lord.

Make us people who pray

before we panic,

love

before we judge,

and stand for what is right

without losing compassion.

Give us sound minds,

steady hearts,

and bold faith.

Remind us that You are still greater

than every battle we face.

Heal what is broken,

expose what is hidden,

and lead this country

back toward truth.

In Jesus’ name,

amen.
